In Innovation Excellence:  Culture is essential for innovation to work.  The real culture.  I have been in organizations where the apparent culture promoted innovation, but the actual culture hampered it.  Figure  yours out, change it or adapt  to it.   Find others that  can collaboratively promote the changes needed.
